How abrasive for you lot. Depending on the colour of your couch yous will observe that leather shoe polish rubbed gently into the surface area, left overnight and then rubbed vigorously, will bring back the couch to its former glory. Match the colors advisedly. And DON'T vitrify too hard or you will have a shiny patch. (01/04/2005)

Wow, the suggestion to use pilus gel really WORKED! Cheers so very much. I used h2o and a bit of ammonia to wipe the gel off. I think ammonia cuts or eliminates the urine smell. Perfume is probably good too. (10/14/2008)

Outset thing to think:
Do not use whatever product or suggestion that does not specify that it tin can be used on leather - even simulated leather.
Second - always exam any method on an inconspicuous part before really using on your front sofa.
A solution of vinegar and h2o can be used safely. One cup vinegar / ii cups water.
Use a soft cloth to wipe the area several times; always use a make clean cloth the 2d/tertiary time and so the solution stays clean.
Wait a few minutes so dry the surface area with another soft fabric - rub gently but several times. The seams may still be clammy then use a hair dryer on low to finish drying (non too close to sofa). check it for dryness after a few hours.
Check for olfactory property the post-obit day. Y'all may accept to echo this if information technology was actually strong and has been 'settled' in for a few days.
You lot can also identify a small-scale fan where it can blow on the area for an hour or so.
Yous can also try sprinkling the surface area with baking soda as this will absorb odor from leather. Just be certain the surface area is completely dry before using baking soda.
Some people recommend using the baking soda then add the vinegar that will have foaming outcome. Wipe clean and dry.
I have not tried this method.
Yous should probably use a good leather conditioner later you are sure the odor is gone.

My sister's dog urinated on my burgundy leather burrow. The burrow is a washed out kind of bomber jacket leather and has a "worn" expect. The stain left a very dark circumvolve on the couch. In that location is no odor left, but the stain. I was out of town and did non observe the stain until information technology was dry. Is there a way to get the burrow back to way it looked before?

No one has left feedback for this problem. I would say go for broke and try anything. You don't have much to lose at this betoken. I would take a spray bottle and put vinegar in it and soak it expert, so I would use a wet vac to suck the vinegar and attempt this continuously to get the urine out.
Or attempt blotting, re-wetting and re-blotting. You might try a dry method using the vinegar and applying a paste made of baking soda and allowing it to dry. As it dries it will put the stain abroad from the leather? Perhaps? These are untested on leather; worth a shot though. (07/01/2009)
